Why it’s called “tiptoeing in my Jordans”
The official title is a deliberate misspelling of “tip-toeing in my Jordans,” the line the chorus is built on. Hardly anyone types “Jawwdinz,” so the meme travels under the plain spelling instead: tiptoeing in my Jordans, tip toeing in my Jordans, or just the tip toe song.
It’s Riff Raff, by the way, and not Lil Wayne, whatever autocomplete suggests. Ludacris did record a freestyle over the beat in September 2014.
The song was a meme before the meme
This is the track’s second life as a dance. In the summer of 2014, people on Vine filmed themselves, their friends and their pets tip-toeing to the chorus. Know Your Meme counted more than 500 of those clips by that August.
Riff Raff came back to the idea twice: “Tip Toe 2” with Slim Jxmmi in 2017, and “Tip Toe 3” with Chief Keef in 2019.
How it met Rumpelstiltskin
On September 29, 2026, TikTok user @6aimbot9 put the song under an AI video of a little man dancing in a barn. He was already tip-toeing. The song only had to point it out. Within a week the pairing was fixed, and the clip is now hard to imagine with anything else.
